On Thursday, Uncommon James launched their new “Summer Essentials” collection.

The 14-piece lifestyle capsule collection neatly bridges the gap between the summer “To the Beach” collection, and the upcoming fall collection.

While the collection doesn’t feature any photos of Kristin, it’s likely that she will be wearing or showcasing the pieces in the upcoming weeks.

Now for a look at the pieces.

Sunglasses

The Uncommon James “Summer Essentials” collection features three different pairs of sunglasses, and each pair comes in different colours.

The first model is the Uncommon James ‘Brow Bar’ Round Sunglasses ($58). Made of acetate, the round frame sunglasses features a brow bar, and are available in three different colours: Tort, Black, and Plum.

The second model is the Uncommon James ‘Aviator’ Sunglasses ($58). Made of metal, the curved glasses have a brow bar and a thin, bayonet earpiece that hooks over the ear. They are available in three colours: Black, Silver and Gunmetal.

The third model is the Uncommon James ‘Round Wayfarer’ Sunglasses ($58). Made of acetate, the sunglasses have a classic silhouette, and come in two colours: Tort, and Black.

Design-wise, all of the sunglasses share similarities with other pairs Kristin owns and has worn before. For example, her Ray-Ban 3025 Aviator sunglasses (available here), her Quay Odin sunglasses (sold out) both have a brow bar. And the frames are similar to her Illesteva ‘Leonard’ Mirrored Round Sunglasses (available here) and Ray-Ban 2140 Original Wayfarer sunglasses (available here).

Sunglasses Accessories

Additionatlly, the Uncommon James “Summer Essentials” collection comes with two accessories for sunglasses: a glasses case, and a sunglasses chain.

First up is the Uncommon James Glasses Case ($22). Made of PVC, the pink case features a gold butterfly stamped onto it, and measures 6.69″ by 3.14″ inches (approximately 17 cm by 8 cm).

The second accessory is the Uncommon James Sunglasses Chain in Gold ($32). The paperclip chain is made of gold-plated brass with rubber ends that attach to sunglasses, allowing you to wear it slung around your neck.

Accessories

Next, the Uncommon James “Summer Essentials” collection comes with three beachy accessories: a tote bag, a beach towel, and a travel cup.

Let’s start with the Uncommon James Straw Tote Bag ($38). Woven of papyrus, the straw bag is emblazoned with the Uncommon James logo and has two sturdy shoulder-straps.

Next, the Uncommon James Escape Beach Towel ($28). Made of a microfiber polyester, the pink towel has the word “Escape” written in bold letters, alongside the words “Uncommon James”. The towel is 40 by 70 inches (approximately 102 cm by 178 cm), and can be taken to the pool and the beach.

Finally, the Uncommon James Glass Travel Cup ($18). The cup has a wooden lid, a glass straw, and features the Uncommon James logo. It is also dishwasher safe, although hand-washing is recommended to keep the logo from fading.

Candles

The last item in the Uncommon James “Summer Essentials” collection is a candle, available in two sizes.

The Uncommon James Laguna Sea Salt Candle is the brand’s new seasonal scent ($12 or $28, depending on size). It smells like suntan oil, sea salt, marine, and teakwood, and is available in a smaller 4-ounce size, or a larger 10-ounce size.

All Uncommon James candles are handmade with natural soy wax, and are free of phthalates, parabens, and dyes. They come with a cotton wick, which is lead- and nickel-free.
