Cupcake Wars 6.09: Kristin Cavallari’s Baby Shower 12 August 201224 March 2025 Quick Shop: Dress | Ring On Sunday, Kristin was a guest judge on the Food Network show Cupcake Wars, where she helped select a baker to bake all the cupcakes for her baby shower. Kristin, alongside presenter Justin Willman and judges Florian Bellanger and Candace Nelson, judged competitors Tony Albanese from The Pastryarch, Meghan Coleman from Crema Café, Cheryl Burger from The Sweet Spot Bake Shoppe, and Cindy Hashimoto from Island Cupcakes on their cupcakes in three rounds. Kristin’s only ask of the bakers was to produce a “crave-worthy” cupcake. Winner Cheryl stunned with her four cupcakes. In the first round, bakers were challenged to create a cupcake using three classic baby-food flavours. Cheryl she made a banana cupcake with a whipped cream and yoghurt filling and sweet potato cream cheese frosting, topped with a white chocolate baby foot decoration. Kristin admitted that cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting were one of her pregnancy cravings, so she absolutely loved it. In the second round, bakers were challenged to create three cupcakes that would be scored on both style and presentation. Cheryl’s three cupcakes were: (1) a lemon cupcake filled with a blueberry compote and topped with vanilla buttercream, blueberry syrup, and topped with fondant baby blocks that spelled out the word “baby”; (2) a vanilla cupcake filled with fresh strawberries and chocolate whipped cream, topped with a strawberry buttercream and a fondant baby onesie with a heart in the middle; and (3) a margarita cupcake filled with sea-salt and margarita mix, topped with a margarita lime frosting and a fondant baby bottle. For the third round, Cheryl scrapped the margarita cupcake, which wasn’t a hit with the judges, and instead made a coconut cupcake with a lime frosting and toasted coconut. The swap, and her on-theme display, made her a clear winner. In an interview with NJ.com, Cheryl revealed that the episode was filmed in March, whilst Kristin’s baby shower was held in May. Cheryl attended the shower with her best friend and store manager store manager Stacey Filipow, who competed with her on the show: Working Cavallari’s baby shower was memorable, too, Filipow and Burger each said. Burger said Cavallari was “a sweetheart, the nicest girl you’ll meet” and that the shower took place at a Hollywood home. “It was gorgeous,” Burger said. What Kristin Wore Now for a look at what Kristin wore during the episode. She wore her hair styled in a messy fishtail plaid, which is one of my absolute favourite hairstyles hands down, and on Kristin it’s fabulous. Her green and blue colour blocked dress is by Amanda Uprichard, which is sold out, but I’ve found a listing on eBay for $25 here. Kristin’s pink and gold-plated ring is the Jules Smith ‘Festival’ Ring in Rose Gold ($95, sold out), which features a domed oval detail. You can still get a gold version of the ring second-hand on Poshmark here. As for her earrings, Kristin is wearing what I believe to be two separate earrings: gold hoops with a small fracture in the middle and blue drop earrings, which you can see in the detailed overview below. I haven’t found them yet, but will update this post when and if I do, as always. And finally, her shoes. Kristin’s wearing a pair of black ankle boots, but they’re not shown much at all, making them almost impossible to identify. I’ll update this post if a high-quality full-body picture ever resurfaces: All in all, it’s not a look I would’ve guessed for a tv appearance, but her hairstyle is amazing and I love the accessories and boots!
