Kristin Cavallari Style - Kristin on the Call Her Daddy podcast

On Wednesday, Kristin appeared on the ‘Call Her Daddy‘ podcast, hosted by Alexandra Cooper.

For the podcast interview on Spotify, titled “Kristin Cavallari: So You Want to Date an Athlete?”, Kristin wore a blush v-neck top, ripped blue denim jeans, white heels and gold jewellery.

In the episode, Kristin spoke with her usual honesty about her children, her childhood, her appearance on MTV’s Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County as a teenager, her relationships, and various other topics. A few stand-out quotes from the podcast.

Firstly, Kristin candidly addressed the public misconception about her confidence level on Laguna Beach:

“Well, it’s funny because on Laguna Beach, everyone thought I was a super confident kid. And now that I’ve had to go back and watch the episodes for my podcast [Back To The Beach], I don’t see a confident girl at all. I see actually someone who is incredibly insecure. You know they say … that saying? Confidence is quiet, insecurity is loud? Well, I was that.”

She also reflected on the hard decision to file for divorce from her husband of 7 years, pro-football player Jay Cutler:

“No, it was more just time. It was like, nothing major happened at the end, you know, it was just time. I remember always asking my mom like “Well, how am I gonna know?” And she would be like, “You’ll just know.” And I did, I just kind of knew. And, you know, it’s the scariest thing, it’s also the saddest thing, I mean, it’s so many emotions, but it can also be the best thing, you know. I really don’t think anything good comes easy.”

Finally, Kristin spoke candidly about working in the public eye, and how this influences her life:

“Honestly, if everything went way, I’d be okay, but now that I’m a single woman, especially supporting three children, I have to keep my money coming in, right? And so, yeah, it’s kind of a … well, in the same breath, what I’m doing now, I really love. Like the [Back To The Beach] podcast, for example, I really enjoyed. I do feel like because I live in Nashville, I can kind of separate a little bit and I go back to a really normal, peaceful life. And so, I actually feel like I have a really good balance with everything right now.”

What Kristin Wore

Now for a closer look at what Kristin wore.

Starting with her pale, almost blush coloured top. It is the ‘Kai’ Twist Crop Halter Top in Biscotti by Staud ($145), the American designer Kristin first debuted in 2020. The top is currently on clearance sale on the brand’s official outlet store ($75).

The top has a halterneck tie, low-cut back, and a hidden side zip closure. It is made out of 98% cotton and 2% spandex with a 100% cotton lining, and can be worn as is or styled with the straps crisscrossed.

A closer look at the details:

Kristin brought back the Moussy Vintage ‘Odessa’ Wide Straight Jeans in Light Blue ($350, sold out) for the interview.

Another familiar piece were her heels, the Jimmy Choo ‘Diosa’ Leather Sandals in White ($850, sold out) The black version of the sandals are still available from Farfetch ($511), in select sizes.

Beginning with her jewellery, Kristin wore several familiar Uncommon James pieces. In her ears, she wore three pairs of earrings. The first are the Uncommon James ‘Charmed’ Huggies in Gold ($58).

The second and third pair are a bit harder to identify. Tentatively, they appear to be the Uncommon James ‘Innocent Huggies’ in Gold ($48) and the Uncommon James ‘Sunshine Stud’ Earrings in Gold ($48, sold out).

As for rings, she wore the Uncommon James Black Onyx Oval Ring in Gold ($58) and the Uncommon James ‘Wrap’ Ring in Gold ($52) on her left hand. Next, on her right hand, she repeated the Uncommon James ‘Break’ Ring in Gold ($26) and the Uncommon James ‘Middle Ground’ Ring in Gold ($52). She finished off the look with her Rolex Day-Date 36 Oyster Watch (price on request).

Finally, Kristin also carried her Chanel Quilted Mini Top Handle Flap Bag in White (about $6900), which we’ve seen several times this year.

Kristin’s Look

Kristin wore her hair down, styled in waves, and finished the look with simple neutral toned make-up in shades of brown, black and pink.

All things considered, I may have liked this look more had, for example, the top been worn crisscrossed and had it been paired with a sleeker pair of trousers — perhaps even the black A.L.C. pair Kristin wore on episode 2.01 of Very Cavallari. It would have made the look less clunky and boxy and would’ve allowed it to shine on its own. As is, I’m not the biggest fan of this look.
