Kristin Cavallari Style - Kristin at the Variety TV FYC Fest

On Wednesday afternoon, Kristin was a guest on the “Reality Trailblazers” panel at the Variety TV FYC Fest in Los Angeles.

Hosted by American magazine Variety, the event gathers:

“the entertainment industry’s premier talent, creators and executives gather in person and virtually for exclusive keynotes and panel discussions on the best of television including content development, writing, casting, marketing and distribution.”

For the panel, titled “Reality Trailblazers”, Kristin was joined by fellow reality tv-stars Trixie Mattel (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio (The Challenge), and Hannah Brown (The Bachelor). The panel was moderated by Emily Longeretta, Variety‘s Senior TV Features Editor.

The Reality Trailblazers panel, in particular, was for:

“innovators and trailblazers of reality TV [to] share their favorite memories and talk about what it takes to connect with fans during and after the show.”

For her appearance on the panel, Kristin wore a white leather mini dress, white strappy heels, and pieces from her jewellery line.

What Kristin Wore

Her white dress is the Leather Mini Dress in Ecru by Turkish designer Zeynep Arçay. Part of the designer’s Resort 2023 collection, it is sleeveless, made of lambskin leather and a 100% silk lining. It has a sweetheart bust with a halter-neck strap and a back-zip closure.

The style is currently on sale at Saks Fifth Avenue ($1,470), and also available at the brand’s official website ($2,450).

Her shoes are the Larroudé ‘Annie’ Sandal in Ivory Leather ($315). The brand, founded by former Teen Vogue fashion director Marina Larroudé, has quickly become a go-to brand for celebrities since its launch in 2020. Made of leather, the brand’s Annie sandals, part of the brand’s core collection, have an open round toe, a 3.8″ stiletto heel, and feature criss-cross straps. Kristin has worn the sandals before, a in a different colour.

As for jewellery, Kristin wears five pieces from her own brand, and her watch. Let’s start with her earrings. She wears the Uncommon James ‘Nudist’ Earrings in Nude ($62).

On her hands, Kristin wears three rings. On her left hand, she wears the Uncommon James ‘Dome’ Vermeil Ring in Gold (sold out) and the Uncommon James ‘Wrap’ Ring in Gold ($52). On her right hand, she wears the Uncommon James ‘Stacked‘ Ring in Gold ($52).

On her wrist, Kristin wears the Uncommon James ‘Joie De Vivre’ Bracelet in Gold ($52) and her Rolex Day-Date 36 Oyster watch (around $35,000).

Kristin’s Look

Kristin’s hair was parted to the side and styled in tousled waves. Her make-up was soft, with brown eyeshadow, brown and black eyeliner, and a slightly sheer pink lip.

Her look was created by celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri and make-up artist Kate Synnott, both of whom Kristin has worked before. Most recently, Ms Capri styled Kristin’s hair for the 2022 MTV Movie Awards, while Ms Synnott did Kristin’s make-up for her L’Officiel India photoshoot.

Ms Capri, who owns the Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood, has worked with many celebrities over the years. Her clients include Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence and Kristin’s fellow The Hills co-star Audrina Patridge. Meanwhile, Ms Synnott, formerly the National Lead Artist for Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics, has worked with celebrities like Oscar-winners Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone, and model Cara Delevingne.

Sartorially speaking, I’m not the biggest fan of the overall look. It feels off-kilter. The design details of the dress get lost; had Kristin’s hair been styled up, they would’ve come out beautifully. I also feel like the earrings are wrong in design and colour for the look. They are very whimsical, whereas the look is quite modern and structured.

I would’ve quite liked to see Kristin wear the Zeynep Arçay’s belted jumpsuit from the same collection. It has the same halter-neck strap and bustier-detailing as the dress but, with her hair styled in a loose bun, it would’ve made such a splash.
